Peter has more than 30 years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation
planning, with an emphasis on airport ground transportation, parking, airport
access and circulation roadways, terminal building curbsides, commercial vehicle
operations, and transit/automated people-mover systems. He has managed airport
ground transportation and parking planning and design studies for over 40 airports,
including those serving Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles,
Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, and Tucson. Peter has developed improvement
concepts for the roadways, curbside areas, parking, and public transportation
facilities at the international airports serving Boston, Cincinnati, Dallas/Fort
Worth, Denver, Los Angeles, Newark, New York, Norfolk, Phoenix, Raleigh-Durham,
and Sacramento.
Peter is a registered Professional Engineer and a recognized industry leader
in airport ground transportation issues. He led a research project on improving
public transportation access to large airports for the Transportation Research
Board. Peter currently chairs the Transportation Research Board Committee on
Airport Terminals and Ground Access and is past chair of the American Society
of Civil Engineers Executive and Landside Committees of the Air Transport Division.
He is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Airport Ground
Transportation Association.
