Mark Lunsford has more than 13 years of experience in airport master planning,
security planning, terminal planning, and airfield/airspace planning. Recently,
he led a series of studies to assist the U.S. Transportation Security Administration
(TSA) with development of a national strategy for the deployment of explosives
detection systems for checked baggage screening, including development of a funding
and financing strategy for installing in-line screening systems. Mark has also
managed airport security planning assignments for Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood,
John F. Kennedy (Terminal 3), and Houston's George Bush and Hobby airports, and
provided oversight for similar studies at Los Angeles, Oakland, and Ontario international
airports. In addition, over the last 10 years, Mark has successfully managed
five airport master plans and several airfield/airspace capacity studies.
