Gordon Hamilton has been involved in aviation since 1969. In addition to consulting,
his experience includes hands-on day-to-day management of airfield operations
and maintenance, and development of operations research tools for airport planning.
Gordon has managed and participated in airport and aviation projects covering
all aspects of the industry. He has been an advisor or project manager for airports
in North America, Asia, and Africa; airlines in the United States and Canada;
the International Civil Aviation Organization; the United Nations Development
Program; the Caribbean Development Bank; Airports Council International; the
International Air Transport Association; and several private sector airport developers.
Gordon has also been an expert witness on transportation issues and an advisor
to government commissions and audits. His recognized expertise in airport business
and financial issues has led to ongoing teaching assignments at universities,
at the Air Transport Development Institute in Montreal, and in developing countries.
Gordon has served on the boards of several high-technology transportation companies,
including Fleet-Trak Systems and Caribbean Hovercraft. Most recently, he served
as Chairman of the Global Design Alliance, an international alliance of design
firms.
Because of his depth of experience in the aviation industry, Gordon often participates
in public hearings (such as those on environmental assessments) and in negotiations.
He has also served as a delegate to the United Nations Economic Council for Europe
and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Civil Aviation Planning Committee.

Prior Experience:
Gordon held a number of positions with Transport Canada, including Superintendent,
Airport Systems, and Transport Attaché, Europe. He also served as an army
engineer officer.
