Title: Associate Director

Office: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Practice Area/Specialization: Airport master planning, terminal facilities planning, airport capital improvement program, airport program management, infrastructure privatization, and client and government relations

Currently supporting projects at Florida's Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, Alceste Venturini is a transportation engineer with expertise in airport strategic planning, airport master plans, and in detailed planning, design, and construction management of public and private airport/transportation capital infrastructure development facilities. His 14 years of transportation planning experience, with emphasis on aviation planning and infrastructure privatization, includes airfield planning and design, airport and pavement maintenance management, and traffic/transportation planning and engineering.

Prior Experience:

Previously, Alceste served as Director of Planning, Infrastructure Development, and Maintenance for an international private airport operator in Latin America.

In that capacity, he successfully managed the master plans for Bolivia's three international airports (Viru Viru-Santa Cruz, La Paz, and Cochabamba) that involved developing short- and long-term planning facilities, passenger terminal buildings and associated facilities, general aviation and air cargo terminals, as well as airfield planning and capacity studies. Alceste personally led the development and integration of the subsequent detailed planning, design, and construction management for the capital infrastructure program's expansion and modernization.

In addition to coauthoring the Transportation Public Infrastructure Privatization Law and Regulations, Alceste also prepared bid documents for the privatization of the Bolivian Highway System.

Alceste has participated and managed more than 20 projects in traffic engineering, urban public transportation planning, road and highway planning and design, and ground-transportation master plans at municipal, regional, metropolitan and national levels in Latin America.

A strong construction management background enhances his transportation expertise. As Deputy Director for a major Italian Infrastructure firm in South America, he was involved in developing several major civil engineering public works.
