After suffering a massive cerebral hemorrhage, Max Wolfe passed away at 7pm on Thursday, April 24 leaving an unfillable void in the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues.
Max was the head of Jacobs Consultancy’s Facilities and Environmental Business Unit and a member of its management team. Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer and a member of senior management at Landrum & Brown for 15 years. He has truly been a “luminary” in our industry, pioneering many new approaches in the environmental field and leading some of the most challenging projects. More importantly, he was a friend, trusted advisor, and inspiration to many of us. His tremendous wisdom was striking as was his compassion, fairness, and willingness to invest in others. For such a talented and accomplished man, it’s remarkable how he continually placed the needs of others ahead of his own.
His inspiration and influence will certainly live on in his family, in our practices, and in our industry. Even so, he will be deeply, deeply missed. To honor Max and his contribution to our industry, Jacobs Consultancy and Landrum & Brown will be jointly establishing a scholarship fund for students interested in careers in the area of aviation environmental planning. If you wish to contribute to this scholarship fund, please contact Eric Bernhardt at Jacobs Consultancy (eric.bernhardt@jacobs-consultancy.com) or Suzie Kleymeyer at Landrum & Brown (skleymeyer@landrum-brown.com).
